bunch-of-booksAt some point in most conversations, I chime in with “there’s a great book about that!”

In my opinion, there’s nothing that can’t be enhanced or fixed by the right book.  An interest in genealogy to fill in medical history? When a Tree Falls by Jennifer Rosner, with the companion children’s book The Mitten String.  You’re about to lose it because you’ve read your daughter 100 Rainbow Fairy books? Try Fairy Realm by Emily Rodda.  Considering volunteering with immigrant populations?  The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman.  Travelling to Alaska?  Into the Country by John McPhee.

This site has some information about me and why I want to be a librarian, but focuses mostly on book recommendations.  Try some.  There’s a book for everything.
